How Clean is YOUR carpet?

In the first instance, around 85% of the dry dirt in carpets can be removed by thorough vacuuming. So the very first thing we do is to deep vacuum the carpet with a powerful vacuum cleaner to remove this dry loose soil.

The 15% of soil that is left after vacuuming is largely made up of a combination oily or greasy substances which cannot be removed by vacuuming alone. To break down this material we mist the surface of the carpet with dilute Bio-Cleaner and allow enough contact time for the Bio-Cleaner to break the bond between the soil and the carpet fibre. To assist this and to ensure the Bio-Cleaner has contact with all the fibres we gently agitate the carpet with a rotary machine to open the pile.

Our powerful portable and van mounted extractors will then rinse, flush and extract the soil to leave the carpet bright, clean and fresh. Even the most thorough cleaning will not automatically remove all stains. Many of these can be treated using an unique organic, natural sponge product which once placed on the stained area works right down into the pile. As it is not diluted it immediately begins absorbing the dirty grease and oils from the carpet working both quickly and efficiently. There are a number of other natural stain treatments which we utilise but it is important to remember that some stains are permanent.

There are occasions where low moisture cleaning or even ‘virtually’ no moisture cleaning may be required or requested.

Utilising products made from sugars and salts which are applied as a spray, the soil is then absorbed and lifted out of the carpet with a soft rotating pad. This low moisture cleaning method works particularly well with low pile carpets and carpet tiles and has the added benefit of fast drying.
Where ‘virtually’ no moisture cleaning is appropriate, minute organic sponges are spread over the surface of the carpet and a counter-rotating cleaning brush works the product through the carpet pile dissolving and absorbing oils and greasy deposits. After a short rest period where the sponges carry on with their cleaning the carpet is thoroughly vacuumed to remove the now filled sponges while at the same time reinvigorating the carpet's pile, leaving it fresh and looking like new. Not only does this method dissolve soils and removes them both instantly and effortlessly but also it leaves the carpet completely dry. There is never any shrinkage or colour-run. The system kills dust mites, reduces allergens and improves indoor air quality.
